Lilly Scholars Program
The Lilly Scholars Program is a joint initiative of the Alliance and the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation (Lilly). Designed specifically for students who have demonstrated their aptitude for research by their successful completion of at least one prior SR-EIP summer experience, the initiative provides these talented students access to high-quality summer research internships at one of 22 research sites within the Alliance network.
Eight Lilly internship positions will be awarded for the 2012 SR-EIP. The Leadership Alliance Lilly Guidance Committee will nominate the 2012 Lilly Scholars from within the group of SR-EIP students, once all summer research participants have been selected.
Lilly interns will receive a stipend of $5,000, as well as paid housing and travel. During the summer, Lilly Scholars will have online opportunities to interact and will meet at the Leadership Alliance National Symposium to discuss their experiences and career choices.
